KeePass 1.1 is a password manager which helps you to manage your passwords in a secure way.
All your passwords are locked under a master key (or a key disk) in one database.Therefore, you only have to remember one single master password or insert the key-disk to unlock the whole database, that´s encrypted using the AES and Twofish encryption algorithms.
The program can be installed in eleven different languages, and you can obtain more language packages from the author´s site.
On installation, you´re offered to visit a web site that contains a lot of plug-ins to extend the program´s capabilities.
The first thing you´ll need to do when you begin using the program is to create a new password database. You´ll have to set a Master Key to later access the database. You can also specify a key file, to improve security.
After that you can begin loading your password database, dividing them in groups like Windows, Network, Internet, Email, Homebanking, or whatever you like.
Later, you can access your passwords without needing to remember more than the master key. |
